Biography
Stephanie Kane is Assistant Vice President, System Analytics and Reporting with the office of Strategy, Planning, and Analysis at Washington State University. Stephanie’s role operates at the system level with broad responsibility for analytics, statistical reports, and research related to institutional data. She works and collaborates with other senior leaders and decision-makers to advise and direct research, analytics, and reporting objectives to meet both mandatory requirements as well as improve outcomes for students, employees, and the institution. Additionally, she collaborates closely with partners in state government on initiatives to improve outcomes for students in the State of Washington. Stephanie cares deeply about the ethical use of data and ensuring that data and information are for the betterment of university students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders while protecting privacy, minimizing adverse outcomes, and upholding the dignity and personhood of everyone. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the College of William and Mary, Master of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Statistics, both from Washington State University.
