Curriculum Vitae
Mike Trevisan was appointed dean of the Washington State University College of Education effective April 3, 2013. He was previously associate dean for research and external funding.
Research/professional interests
Dr. Trevisan is working on the use of program evaluation for the betterment of schools and communities. Much of this work is focused on building the professional capacity of school personnel to carry out evaluation work. Dr. Trevisan has provided workshops and seminars on various evaluation topics to graduate students and faculty in Thailand, Korea, Italy and the US. Dr. Trevisan is well published in evaluation. He and a colleague published a book on evaluability assessment in 2015. In addition, they recently provided a workshop on evaluability assessment to program officers at the United Nations Population Fund. Currently, Dr. Trevisan and several international colleagues are working to increase the evaluation skills of school counselors, and using evaluation to enhance school counseling policy.
